CLH = 0.75 CLT = 0.75 (1.35 L/hr) = 1.01 L/hr

To determine if this is a low of high intrinsic clearance drug, compare with normal hepatic blood flow (1.0 - 1.5 L/min). This comparison necessitates converting the hepatic clearance to L/min:

CLH = 1.01 L/hr x (1 hr/60 min) = 0.017 L/min

Clearly, this is a low intrinsic clearance drug. If you decrease intrinsic clearance, you will decrease the total clearance and Css will increase. Thus, the infusion rate should be reduced.
