Research: Data Collection (PT. I)
  • Assistance with the collection of data:
    • Web surveys (via MS FrontPage, Dreamweaver MX).
    • We have expertise and software to help students to create web surveys for their own data collection.
  • Already available data:
    • On CD-ROMs in Lab (located on table between Stations B and D).
    • Hard copy library of books and resources for data collection (on bookshelves):
      •  Research books A-Z.
      •  Ed. Databases (lower bookshelves ® go to green Sage Publications for survey ideas).

General Policies
  • Scan all discs with each use / log on (USB’s, floppies, etc.).
    • Use Norton Anti-Virus
    •  log on w/ Hawk ID and Hawk ID password.
  • Log out computers upon leaving them, 1 of 2 ways:
    •  Ctrl + Alt + Del to log out computer or…
    •  Start ® Log Off
  • No inappropriate websites (no porn, etc.).
  • No excessive printing – only for TA or research purposes
