To get started in developing your own personal philosophy of
teaching,
- Read an overview of why you
might want to write a statement summarizing your philosophy.
- Look at some examples. Avoid
examples from your own field.
- Read two different sets of prompts to give you an idea of what
to think about:
- Reflection
cues
- Topics to consider
including
- I have some suggestions on format,
as well.
- Finally, post your draft philosophy statement to the bulletin
board, under "philosophy."
