Brief Professional Resume:
Dr. Pinkham was on the Iowa faculty from 1972-1979. From 1979-1983 he was professor and head of pediatric dentistry at the University of Louisville and chief of dentistry at Kosair-Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He returned to Iowa in 1983 where he was department head from 1983-2000.

Teaching Responsibilities: His lecture/seminar responsibilities include child patient management, fear and anxiety in dentistry, and psychological development of the child dental patient.

Clinical Activities: Dr. Pinkham is involved in both graduate and undergraduate clinical instruction and practices in the Dental Service Plan.

Research Activities: Recent research has focused on those issues which predict or enhance successful interfaces of children with dentists.

Significant National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Editor-in-chief of the American Society of Dentistry for Children.
