Attendance is required at all four sessions. If illness
or class conflicts prevent your attending a particular session, discuss
an alternate assignment with me. The elective assignments described
below do not satisfy this requirement.

| Elective assignments |
There are no required assignments for students who
attend all four classes. Students may elect to write a paragraph on
some aspect of the class sessions or other biochemical topic of interest
to them. Students may use the resources of this web site, other web
resources, textbooks or any other scholarly source for these assignments,
but should indicate the source of their information. Students who
return three assignments before the last class period will be eligible
to join other active students at a pizza party.
