Software Review Presentations, Fall 2010
Software Review Presentations will be presented during weeks 6-11. The students should confer with the instructor to decide on what software package to demonstrate. (For the first week, we have pre-assigned software, but this may be renegotiated.) Because class time is so limited and because it's important you to learn a range of tools in this course, you will be making a 10- to 12-minute Camtasia recording of your software demo to use for your presentation. Camtasia is screen recording software that is available on all of the LMC ITC Dells and on the Studio Dells. (Camtasia was used to create the Hot Potatoes and ObjectMover tutorial movies you have viewed.) You should make an appointment with Mariana to learn the basics of how to make the recording. You may choose to record a narration onto the movie, or simply record the interactions and narrate "on the fly" as you show your software demo movie in class. We recommend that you bring your movie to class on CD or on a Flash Drive.
