Student Rights and Responsibilities:

All students in the College have specific rights and responsibilities. You have the right to adjudication of any complaints you have about classroom activities or instructor actions. Information on these procedures is available in the Schedule of Courses and on-line in the
College's Student Academic Handbook.

Accommodations for Student Disabilities

If you have any concerns about this class or how well you are performing it, do not hesitate to contact me. If after this step your concerns remain, it is your right to contact the History DEO Linda Kerber (Dept. of History, 280 Schaeffer Hall, linda-kerber@uiowa.edu).

This course is given by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Students wishing to add or drop this course after the official deadline must receive the approval o f the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Details of the University policy of cross enrollments may be found here.

Student Behavior and Ethics:
I expect you to be honest and honorable in your fulfillment of assignments and in test-taking situations. Basically, the work you produce for this class should be your own in words and conception, and should be for this course specifically and solely. If you use another's words or ideas, or if you paraphrase the same, you must give credit to the original source. This includes in-class work, unless group work is specifically directed. You may not copy from another's test or homework. If you have any questions about these guidelines, do not hesitate to contact me. If it will affect your own coursework, plan to contact me well before the work deadline. It is your responsibility to know your rights and responsibilities as a student at the University of Iowa. These are listed here.

You have a responsibility to the rest of the class-and to the instructor-to help create a classroom environment where all may learn. At the most basic level, this means that you will respect the other members of the class and the instructor, and treat them with the courtesy you hope to receive in turn.
