Analytical Instrumentation

Key instrumentation with 21 CFR 11 compliant computerized data systems includes:

  • HPLC with UV-Visible, photo diode array, evaporative light scattering, refractive index and conductivity detectors
  • Gas chromatography with flame-ionization and thermal conductivity detectors (FID and TCD), capable of using packed and capillary columns and head space analysis
  • UV-visible spectroscopy
  • Tristimulus color determination (Munsell color)
  • Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) with near and mid-range capabilities, solutions, alkali halide salt disks, mineral oil dispersions, attenuated total reflectance (ATR) and diffuse reflectance (DR) are used
  • Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
  • X-ray powder diffraction (XRD)

Other instrumentation includes pH meters with selective electrodes, titrators, coulometric Karl Fischer titrator, viscometer and polarimeter
