Cambus Service Changes

Move to the West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC)

As of October 11, 2012

On Thursday, October 11, 2012 the Cambus services will vacate the Hospital Ramp 2 (South Hospital) bus stop and move to the new West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC). This move is required to enable the construction of the new UIHC Children's Hospital. This relocation requires changes to several of the Cambus routes. The following provides information and links in regard to these service changes.

Please note that Cambus will no longer service the following stops: South Hospital (HR2), CDD, Dental on Hawkins, and temporary Red & Blue route stops on Hawkins.

Afftected routes and service changes.

Red Route  |  route map Central campus service (circles clockwise) Changes: Will now service the WCTC. Will no longer service Hawkins/Ramp 2 or CDD.

Blue Route  |  route map Central campus service (circles counterclockwise) Changes: Will now service the WCTC. Will no longer service Hawkins/Ramp2 or Dental on Hawkins.

Pentacrest  |  route map    |  night route map Connects the Pentacrest to Finkbine/Area Communter Lots. Night Pentacrest includes WCTC Changes: Only affects Night Pentacrest. Night Pentacrest will now service the WCTC instead of South Hospital.

Hawkeye-Interdorm   |  route map Services Hawkeye campus, WCTC, residence halls and the pentacrest Changes: Will now service WCTC. Will no longer service South Hospital. Takes an alternate route back to campus from Hawkeye.

Hawkeye-Hospital  |  route map Services Hawkeye campus, Newton Road and WCTC (no service to Pentacrest or the residence halls) Changes: Will now service WCTC. Will no longer service South Hospital, CDD or Dental on Hawkins. AM peak service scheduled for 35 minute service.

Hawklot-Hospital  |  route map Weekday early morning and afternoon service between the Hawklot and WCTC. Changes: Will no service WCTC. Will no longer service South Hospital or Dental on Hawkins. AM and PM service will follow the same route (previous AM route).

Hospital-Finkbine/Arena  |  route map  Service between WCTC and the Finkbine/Area Commuter Lots.    Changes: Will now service WCTC. Will no longer service South Hospital, CDD or Dental on Hawkins. Many schedule changes.
