We are a part of the Midwest Academy of Capoeira Angola Palmares, led by Contra-Mestre Pererê out of Seattle. The Iowa City group is instructed by Kevin Hockett.
We are a student group at the University of Iowa, but membership is open to anyone willing to commit themselves. Dues are $5 per class.
