A
long running tradition was kept alive this year with the Iowa Microscopy
Societies annual symposium. Thanks to continued support of sponsors
and attendees the CMRF was able to host another successful symposium. This
year's symposium was held on the University of Iowa campus at the Eckstein
Medical Research Building. The event included four workshops each focusing
on a different valuable microscopy technique; Fluorescence Microscopy,
Electron Tomography, X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy and Cryoultramicrotomy.
We had a great turn
out this year, with more then one hundred people taking part in our
Fluorescence Presentation. We would once again like to thank
all of our sponsors and supporters, it is with you help that these events
are possible. We are already beginning to prepare for our 2006 symposium,
and want to encourage everyone to take part. Details are on the way!
