Drawn into Learning
Join us for a lively, hands-on, artful workshop about how to help students tap into deep learning - and their visual and kinesthetic learning styles - by creating cartoons and comic strips.
UI faculty members Mark Isham and Rachel Williams will illustrate how comic strip and cartoon assignments can help students improve their recall, better reflect on their learning experiences, and share narratives. Participants also will discuss how these genres can stimulate and supplement writing instruction.
Paper and art supplies provided.
