Large Lecture Series - Enhancing Student Learning
Teaching large classes presents new and interesting dimensions to the usual challenges of teaching well. The following workshop series is hosted by the Center for Teaching and ITS-Instructional Services.

This workshop will provide an opportunity to share ideas about how to create learner-centered large classes by sparking respectful and lively classroom discussion, supporting peer instruction, recognizing learning style preferences, and teaching through writing.

This workshop will examine ways to incorporate technology to create a well orchestrated, interactive, and effective student-centered learning experience regardless of class size.

- Assessing Student Learning in Large Lectures
One of the challenges instructors of large lectures face is knowing if and what students are learning. This workshop will cover some of the basic principles of assessment and provide tips on ways to combine formative and summative techniques during the course to gain regular feedback on student progress.
