Civic Responsibility, Literary Reliability
The fall semester FLC will use Ishmael Beah’s A Long Way Gone—the 2008 One Community, One Book selection—as a venue to help students explore civic responsibility, a writer’s “compact” with readers, and the nature of memoir.
Associate Professor of Teaching & Learning Greg Hamot will facilitate the discussion.
The FLC is open to all tenured, tenure-track, and clinical and adjunct faculty members on a first-registered, first-served basis. Registration is for all four days of the series.
