Scam Uses "Cost of Living"
The Social Security Administration published a warning November 7, 2006 regarding a new email scam. Those most likely to be tricked are those who could receive information about a "cost of living increase", i.e. the elderly, or those who are not particularly computer savvy. Those who have a vulnerable customer or citizen base may want to take some action to inform the public. http://www.ssa.gov/pressoffice/pr/colaPhishingScam-pr.htm
