A Market Analysis, June 2005
The Consortium conducted a market analysis of the opportunities to age successfully in Johnson County. The objectives of this analysis were to compile information that will help prepare the county to meet the challenges and opportunities of population aging, and to identify specific issues that warrant further attention.
New Website for Iowa Coalition on Mental Health and Aging
In 2005, the Iowa Coalition on Mental Health and Aging (ICMHA) was formed to initiate a process that will expand and improve the delivery of specialty mental health services to older Iowans. With the support of the Iowa Division of Behavioral, Developmental, and Protective Services for Families, Adults, and Children (BDPS), the University of Iowa Center on Aging held the first meeting of the Iowa Coalition on Mental Health and Aging in April 2005. Iowa Workforce Seniors Study Report Now Available
The University of Iowa Center on Aging conducted a formal evaluation of labor force participation among Iowans over the age of 55. The primary goal of this evaluation, called the Iowa Workforce Seniors Study [IWSS], was to describe the labor market involving aging Iowans across three counties.
