~A Coastal City in Northern China

With a population of 10.5 million, Tianjin is the biggest port city in North China.
It is a prosperous city boasting historical and cultural brilliance, and also a place where different cultures meet. Marco Polo once visited Tianjin Marveling at the thriving city, the Italian traveler called Tianjin a "beautiful heaven city".

Tianjin is about 130km away from the capital city Beijing. Tianjin held a very important position in the modern history of China. Many political events happened here, and quite a number of big names, for instance, Sun Yat-sen, the father of modern China. For 100 years, Tianjin was one of the most important cities in the countryˇs political, economic and cultural history.
