On April 23, 2009 the Department of Classics held a Coffee Hour to award prizes to outstanding Classics students including: The Lowden Translation Prizes in Latin and Greek (for students in advanced classes), and the Departmental Translation Prizes in both Greek and Latin (for students in Elementary and Intermediate language study).
