Rooms 1-3 and 76-93 of Eckstein Medical Research Building house the main laboratory of the Central Microscopy Research Facilities. The main facility is available for investigator usage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The main laboratory houses the most comprehensive equipment holdings as well as staff offices. Equipment located in the main facility:

  • two cryostats, one with cryo-jane system
