Mission Statement
The University of Iowa's local chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a student run organization for undergraduate and graduate students in speech language pathology and audiology. This organization promotes departmental and community involvement as well as opportunities for national membership and participation.

Who can join NSSLHA? All part-time or full-time undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in speech language pathology and audiology, who have not yet received or applied for their Certificates of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
What are the benefits of joining NSSLHA?

Announcements and Upcoming Events
Each month we offer a variety of events to our members, including social events, community service, and fundraising. This year, NSSHLA members have already participated in a dance marathon to raise money for children with cancer, met for pizza, delivered valentines to seniors, and participated in a mentor program where graduate students coach under-graduates on applying to graduate school!For the most up-to-date list of NSSHLA events, please visit our fan page on Facebook.
