Continuing Education Unit is a measurement used throughout the United States by educational institutions to record participation in non-academic credit education programs. One CEU is awarded for each 10 hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience.
The Center for Conferences is an approved provider of General CEU's and is responsible for maintaining the CEU database, which stores all credits awarded for each individual.
Many licensing boards will accept general CEU awards towards professional licensure and professional development. You should confirm with your specific governing board if General CEUs can be applied toward your discipline.
If you are interested in applying for General CEUs for an upcoming conference or program, please complete the CEU application (available on line) and submit directly to The Center for Conferences, Attn: CEU Department, 116 IC, Iowa City, IA 52242.
