Conference Location

The conference will be held on The University of Iowa campus at Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF) Room 1110A, located on Newton Road across from the Newton Road Parking Ramp. Registration

The registration fee of $220 for Fellows, $280 for Faculty and $400 for Corporate includes course material, Friday night reception and poster session and daily breaks. We do encourage early registration. On-line registration is available at https://www.continuetolearn .uiowa.edu/conferencereg
When you register, you must first “create an account” to proceed through the registration process.

Refund

If an applicant withdraws registration prior to the opening of the conference, the registration fee less a $40 cancellation fee will be refunded. No refunds will be made after the conference has convened.


Parking

Parking is available in the Newton Road Parking Ramp. The Standard Parking Rate ($.80 per hour) will be charged to conference participants if they show a Visitor Parking Waiver with their transaction ticket upon leaving the ramp. These waivers will be available at the conference registration desk when you pick up your conference materials. Without the waiver the rate is $2 per hour.


Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Iowa House at a conference rate of $74/79. Please call 319/335-3513 to reserve your room. When making your hotel reservations, you must indicate you are attending the Organization of the Synapse Conference. All rooms will be held in reserve until May 1, 2007. High-speed internet access is available to participants on request at the time you make your room reservations. Individuals are responsible for their own reservations. Transportation

The Eastern Iowa Municipal Airport (located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, airport code CID), is served by Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Delta/Comair, Northwest and United Airlines. The Eastern Iowa Airport is located approximately 20 miles north of Iowa City. Shuttle service from the airport is available at a cost of approximately $28 one way and $51 round-trip. The Cedar Rapids Shuttle Service counter is located directly across from the baggage claim area. Reservations are not required for this service. Taxis are also available for about the same cost.


Things to do in Iowa City

Within walking distance (3 blocks) of the Iowa House you will find The Old Capitol Cultural District and Downtown Iowa City. The tree-lined Pedestrian Plaza features locally-owned specialty stores, a variety of dining options, street vendors and regular entertainment. Enjoy a variety of art and cultural options throughout the year. The University of Iowa campus, intertwined with downtown, offers museums and other attractions.
