The Center for Recent United States History (CRUSH) is a consortium including The University
of Iowa, the State Historical Society of Iowa, and the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library. The
intended purpose of this site is to act as a starting point for students and researchers, to provide
links to the member institutions and their collections, and to act as a gateway to historical
resources elsewhere on the World Wide Web. Local collections also include the manuscript
holdings in The University of Iowa Libraries,
including the Government Publications
Department, the department of Special
Collections, and the Iowa Women's Archives.
The State Historical Society of Iowa is
located in Iowa City, the Herbert
Hoover Presidential Library in West Branch.
