Chair’s welcome!
Welcome to the Latino Council. I am honored to welcome you to the Latino community. Together, individuals with Latino and Iberoamerican roots –we all share a powerful connection. This connection lies in our language and culture.
Here, you will find information on events of our Latino community at The University of Iowa and its community. Please, come and join us in our monthly meetings if you are interested in connecting with others. The Latino Council is open to faculty, staff, and students of The University of Iowa.

In the News
Our annual graduation reception will soon be upon us it is important if you personally know some students to send them a reminder yourself and share this invitation with them. Also, if you know a Latino/a graduate graduating student, encourage them to participate. If a student is attending, I will need the following information from them:
- What degree are they receiving
- Where is the student from
- Future plans
I hope that you are able to be a part of this important tradition.
