JUHE Pen Meeting News report
《居荷》刊物于新年之初召开了一次笔会。11位《居荷》作者和朋友到会。会上，回顾了刊物近年的稿件情况，编辑与作者得到了热情温馨的感谢。当前居荷主编借本次笔会，征召下一任主编。与会者各抒己见，对刊物今后的发展出谋划策。
与会者互相交流信息，提供了一些有关中国文化的网站信息。一部分国内出版的期刊、报纸也在会上分发给了作者。笔会现场约稿，越日即收到投稿数篇。《居荷》笔会以文会友，以稿相约，是爱城作者的一项有意义的活动。
January 7, JUHE held its annual pen-meeting at UI campus. 11 JUHE authors and friends attended the meeting. The attendants briefly reviewed their contributions to JUHE in the past year. The editor and the authors received warm thanks. The current editor, Zhou Yunong, present her proposal for recruiting a new JUHE editor. The people in attendance stated their views and put forward various suggestions to JUHE journal for its future development. The attendants exchanged cultural information, especially the Chinese culture website information. Besides the JUHE new issue, some other Chinese periodicals and newspapers were also distributed to the authors. JUHE pen-meeting is a significant activity indeed. (Reported by Zhou Yunong)

JUHE Pen Meeting
JUHE had a pen meeting on March 6, Saturday in Macbride Hall. Eight authors, seven from 2003 Winter Issue & 2004 Spring Issue, one from 2004 Summer Issue, were present at the meeting. Topics, such as studying abroad, literature expression, movie culture, journal significance etc. were discussed. Personal experiences and stories in writing were shared among the authors. The meeting started with the authors' sign in at the JUHE Pen Meeting Autograph Album. As the meeting approached to the ending, some pictures were taken. This was the first JUHE pen meeting initiated by current JUHE editor Zhou Yunong. JUHE expects more authors and readers to attend on the next pen meeting. CSSA supported this meeting. Photography was done by Chen Wenjie; Calligraphy was done by Wang Geng.
