LGBT Issues
The
Campus Homophobia committee, with the UI Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Staff
and Faculty Association, wrote and conducted a survey about the campus
environment for lesbian, gay, and bisexual people. That group then submitted
to the administration a proposal for a LGBT Resource and Education Office.
There is now a LGBT
center that opened in fall 2006.
