| March 31 | Presentation by Doug Trevor, Asst. Professor of English on Shakespeare and the material text. His research and teaching spans the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, with a particular focus on the early modern understanding of the emotions and literary depictions of the passions. |
| April 7 | “Coaxing secrets from 15th century papers” Tim Barrett will talk about his current efforts to explain the exceptional longevity and the uncanny aesthetic appeal of high quality European papers made in the 1400s. Some of the best early European paper specimens in UI Special Collections (including our leaf from the Gutenburg Bible) will be on display and available for inspection. | April 14 | Kristin Baum, UI Main Library assistant in conservation, will discuss a Materiality Survey Form that she developed to look at a variety of books. Baum will present the rationale behind the form, and the class will use it to assess the material aspects of several books. |

| April 28 | Bill and Vicky Stewart of Vamp and Tramp, Booksellers, LLC will discuss the marketing of artists' books and show work from their collection. Those interested in showing the Stewarts their editioned fine press or artists' books for potential consignment should contact Julie Leonard before Monday, April 24. This class session will meet in Kolarik Book Studio, 16 North Hall. |
