Center for the Book Graduate Fellowships

The UICB offers Center for the Book Graduate Fellowships to support graduate student work in the Certificate program. These awards will be given for the academic year 2008-09 and will entail a stipend of money paid monthly and will also permit recipients to pay in-state tuition. Applicants should be graduate students enrolled in good standing in the Center's certificate program or recently admitted students who will enroll in the academic year 2008-09.

Materials to be submitted for consideration include: a brief letter of application, a listing of any employment or financial support received through the University, and a portfolio of recent work (5-10 actual objects or digital images).

If you are applying for Fall 2008 admission, your application will be used for review. Please send, however, a brief letter of intent, discussing your goals for the coming year.

Criteria for selection will be based on merit and need, with preference given to students focusing on the arts and technologies and to students lacking other means of institutional support. For 2008-09, there will be up to two or three awards given, in either full-year or half-year allotments.
