(When picking up a casebook, be aware that (a) our authors have another casebook, called The First Amendment and the Fourth Estate, (b) there may be used copies of the 5th edition of our casebook, and (c) neither will work.)

Exciting Development: It turns out that 2005 is the year all Iowa TV station licenses expire; we will be following developments regarding a local group's protest of the renewal of an Eastern Iowa TV station's license. The renewal must be filed by October 1; the protest any time between then and the end of December. We'll talk about it at the first class meeting.
