Wonderful co-curricular opportunities exist for virtually every major! Dance Marathon is a 12 month organization and a great way to show future employers that you value community involvement and have strong leadership skills. Here are just a few examples:

• Hospital Committee, Family Relations: Great opportunity for health sciences majors -- nursing, pre-med, pre-anything health related! You will be able to get more involved with our families and gain hospital experience.




• PR/Marketing, Event Committee: Communications, journalism, marketing, and graphic design/art majors -- You will be able to help with the marketing for the organization, planning for fundraising, recruitment, and social events along with the Big Event in February.




• Business Committee: Accounting, finance, and any type of business majors -- Get involved in the business of a million dollar a year organization. You can gain skills in budget planning, finance, and accounting. You can also work with our corporate sponsors and the many businesses we work with to raise money.

And these are just a few examples! Leadership is relevant experience for any career and any major! In fact, leadership experience is the 2nd most valuable quality employers look for.
