December 31, 2008 - Camping for the Kids event to benefit UI Children's Hospital

Debbie and Don Reinier of Muscatine will hold their second annual Camping for Kids event Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the Wal-Mart store, 3003 N. Highway 61, Muscatine.

The 24-hour fundraising event honors the memory of the Reiniers' son, Ben, who died of cancer Sept. 2, 2003, at the age of 10. The inaugural event in 2008 raised more than $4,800.

All of the proceeds will benefit University of Iowa Children's Hospital through Children's Miracle Network. The funds will be donated at the UI Dance Marathon celebration Feb. 6-7.
