Mission

The mission of this committee is to lead and coordinate the UI’s efforts to build a campus environment that embraces members of the UI community with disabilities.  The Disability Planning and Action Committee will concentrate its work in four primary areas:

• Establish direction, make recommendations and/or take actions necessary towards building a welcoming and supportive community for UI individuals with disabilities;
• Identify and respond to specific recommendations raised by members of our campus community;
• Communicate information about resources available on our campus; and
• Raise awareness across campus of issues confronted by the UI community in our efforts to promote access and inclusion for persons with disabilities.
