Hawkeye Marching Band Camp

The University of Iowa Hawkeye Drumline season begins
with the UI Band Camp which begins one week prior to the start of school. These rehearsals teach the "HMB" style of marching, playing, music, and shows.

The drumline has many rehearsals separate from the HMB. Here, drumline music, warm-ups, and "The Series" are taught with proper technique being enforced.

Pep Rallies

Throughout the year,
the HMB is called upon to play at a few pep-rallies.

On September 29 2006, ESPN's College Gameday
came to Iowa City for the Iowa-Ohio State game.
The HMB was asked to play for this event for many
screaming Hawkeye fans. Also, the HMB plays for the
Homecoming Parade during Homecoming every year.

Before each game, the Hawkeye Drumline warms up
20 minutes prior to the Pregame Show on the
southwest-side of Kinnick Stadium.
Here they will perform several grooves, warm-ups and "The Series."
The Drumline Show is open to everyone.

The Rec Show

Every game day, the Hawkeye Marching Band performs at the

Pregame and Halftime that day.
The show is held at the Rec Building a block from Kinnick Stadium
45 minutes prior to Pregame. It is designed as a Pep rally
for the Hawkeye Fans who came to watch the game.
