· 1st Historically Black Sorority chartered on The University of Iowa campus-April 4, 1919.

· 1st Historically Black Greek organization to financially sponsor a family and volunteer for Dance Marathon ( a philanthropy raising funds for families facing childhood cancer)-1999-2000.

· 1st Historically Black Greek organization to participate in The University of Iowa Greek Week 2000.

· 1st Historically Black Greek organization to reach out to the Interfraternal and Panhellenic Councils by initiating educational and social exchanges.

· With collaborative effort from The University of Iowa Student Government, implemented a community-wide forum discussing issues concerning minorities.
