SURVEY ON THE SELECTION PROCESS OF NEW SCHOOL ADMINISTRATIVE CANDIDATES

NATIONAL SURVEY PROFILE

Surveys were distributed to a random sampling of school districts in each state. School executives were asked to provide demographic details and respond to a series of questions. Completed surveys were received from 49 states representing nearly one third (32%) of the sample of 1003 districts representing school districts in rural, small city, suburban and urban settings.

IOWA SURVEY PROFILE

Surveys were distributed to all Iowa public school superintendents. Iowa school executives were asked to provide demographic details and respond to a series of questions. Completed surveys were received from 245 of the 358 school executives surveyed, a response rate of 68%.
