offer: · NCTE-SA connects you to the University of Iowa's education program and lets you get to know your professors and the program at a different level. · NCTE-SA is an organization that looks great on your resume when applying for jobs! Our MissionNCTE-SA offers the opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students interested in the teaching of literacy to come together on an informal or formal basis to discuss issues, concerns, classes, job opportunities, or anything else concerning the teaching of English and literacy. There are four main purposes of the NCTE Student Affiliate: 1. To create a sense of unity here on campus among future teachers of English. 2. To develop professional standards and attitudes through meetings, discussions, lectures, and web pages. 3. To encourage investigation and research. 4. To enhance ties between students and the professional education community.
