Prospective Student Resources

The Environmental Science Program is an interdisciplinary program providing students with strong and rigorous training in the scientific aspects of environmental study. Foundation Courses in the sciences (chemistry, biology, geology, geography) and mathematics (calculus and statistics) are required for all environmental science majors.

Students choose one of four tracks (Bioscience, Geoscience, Hydroscience, and Chemical Science) which provide them with specialized knowledge built on a sound scientific foundation.

To compare the Environmental Sciences Program to the Department of Geography’s Environmental Studies track see the description of the latter in the General Catalogue HERE.

If you would like to visit the campus or receive further information call toll free 1-800-553-IOWA or visit the UI web site for visitors and parents Click Here.
