Dancers in Company's first steps of 2011 will take place on home stage

Dancers in Company, the University of Iowa Department of Dance's touring repertory company, will kick off its 2011 season with its "home concert" at 8 p.m., Thursday–Saturday, March 3–5, in Space/Place Theater of North Hall.

Tickets are $12 ($6 for senior citizens and youth; $5 for UI students) and are available through the Hancher Box Office.

In addition, the company will perform an hour of excerpts from the repertory in a free Arts Share Community Concert for families at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 6, in Space/Place Theater.

Receipts from the concert help to offset the costs of touring, which is coordinated by the UI Arts Share program.
