Student group invites public to enjoy Diwali in Iowa Memorial Union

The University's Indian Student Alliance is hosting a cultural event in celebration of Diwali—a South Asian festival—from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Second Floor Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union.

The first 200 general admission tickets—available only at the University Box Office—are $10; remaining tickets are $15 for general admission seating and $25 for reserved seats. Reserved seating tickets are available at the University Box Office and Taj Mahal in Cedar Rapids.

A catered dinner begins at 5 p.m. The show will feature a range of cultural performances from classical Indian music to modern Bollywood dance. Student and local dance troupes will be joined by renowned performers in a display of cultural acts.
