Slam Poetry “For Whom”

The odd future of the young and the rest of us.
Relent-let us.
Questioning answers expected of us.
Breasts fall and crest in a silent protest
between them and us.
In and out of us.
Which of us, what of -us will-
do?
nothing but, out-rage, one and an other.
Quicken the heart quake, feeble hands
now beating.
With or without you.
Speak with or without tone.
In and out of your own,
mouth-minded machine.
Manufactured fairy-tales will tell of what was
once green.
That is now
Fleeting, depleting, begging, and greeting
you. Daily/cock/roach/caution.
Carefree: a generational hazard.
We'll tell the consequences of
our sex
how we broke their unborn hearts before we
realized penetration. Never asking for regulation.
Fashionable registration. Never made a vote.
Just deep sighs, nicotine ridden inhalation,
and scoffing at the wasted-land.
We never touched.
We proclaim, and pronounce threats and
quests inked, only skin deep.
I ask you to
fight for power.
To make it your own.
Or fear the facts.
There---in lies:the future.
