22M:003 Basic Geometry
This developmental course covers what is usually taught in a high school geometry course. It does not carry credit towards graduation at Iowa. It covers distance and angles, coordinates, area and volume, the Pythagorean Theorem, triangles, polygons, circles, solids, and vectors. To be successful in this course the student should be familiar with the material in the Arithmetic Module and the material in the first six sections of the Algebra Module. This class is usually taught by a TA in a section of about fifteen students. This course has 22M:001, or a satisfactory score on the math placement exam, or one year of high school algebra as a prerequisite.
