22M:005 Trigonometry     

This course is a standard one semester college course in trigonometry. Together 22M:002 Basic Algebra II and this course cover the same material as 22M:009 Elementary Functions (often called precalculus). Trigonometry covers the six trigonometric functions, solutions of right and oblique triangles, vectors, and complex numbers. To be successful in this course the student should be familiar with the material in the Arithmetic Module and the Algebra Module. This class is usually taught by a TA in sections of about thirty students. This course has 22M:002, or a satisfactory score on the math placement exam, or two years of high school algebra and one year of high school geometry as a prerequisite.
