Our mission
FLARES Mission. The mission of the FLARES student organization is:
To facilitate and encourage participation in the field of Second Language Acquisition, work to promote scholarly achievement and professional awareness, and promote active research in the field.
To provide a local forum for the exchange of ideas and information about trends, issues, and opportunities in the field of Second Language Acquisition.
To establish professional connections with Second Language Acquisition student groups at other institutions.
To increase involvement in professional activities beyond the classroom.
To develop skills and relationships that will enable Second Language Acquisition students to have a creative impact on the field.
