2/10/06 - Next group meeting will be Tuesday at 8:30pm. We're meeting at the House of Aroma on Clinton St. The discussion topic is open at this time.

2/05/06 - We are preparing for this semester's Freethinker Forum. The date has been slated for the first of March. The topic selected is: Why War?. We hope to explore the moral questions surrounding why we go to war. More details are here.

2/05/06 - Thursday this week at 8:30PM in W10 Pappajohn Lecture Hall is the Free Speech Forum on Religion hosted by the Campus Crusade for Christ. We will have Doug participating on the panel representing our thoughts as an organization. Please show up and support Doug. If you have not submitted your personal statement to Doug please do so soon. Use uifreethinkers@gmail.com if you are not sure where to send it or have more questions. We may meet afterwards to discuss further the questions posed (depending on how late it is). Here is a link to the flyer about the forum.

10/20/05 - Thanks to all that attended the Intelligent Design Panel last night. We had an excellent turnout and hopefully all enjoyed the questions and answer session with the panelists.

Our next group meeting is Tuesday October 25, at 7:00pm in the Purdue Rm. Come share your opinion about the success of the event and help us get started on planning our next panel.

10/04/05 - The next Freethinkers meeting is Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at 7:00pm in the Purdue Rm. We will be handing out fliers about our Intelligent Design Panel, and finalizing details for the event.

8/23/05 - The first University of Iowa Freethinkers meeting of the 2005-06 year will be Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at 8:00 p.m. Check back soon for announcement of the meeting place. Our first meeting will include a discussion of goals and objectives for the coming year. We will be especially concerned with planning another speaker to follow the success of the Dan Barker lecture.
