The photo was chosen because of the dramatic expressions on the subjects faces and the striking analogy between their relative stances in the poltics of life and the photo. For the benefit of sensitivites on both sides, the authors would like to point out the safe manner in which the soldier is conducting the situation, noticing that although the rifle is positioned directly at the civilian, the soldiers index finger is clearly not in position to fire the rifle.
