The Department of French and Italian at the University of Iowa is proud to announce the first University of Iowa Graduate Symposium in French and Francophone Studies, to be held February 7, 2009. The theme of this year’s symposium is Trespassing, Translation, Transcendence and Transvestism: Finding Comfort in the Space Between. The deadline for abstract submissions is October 1, 2008.
