The mission of the Free Radical and Radiation Biology Program is:

  1. to use interdisciplinary approaches for the development of new knowledge into the fundamental mechanisms and treatment of human disease;
  2. to educate the next generation of leaders in the field in the basic and applied principles of free radical and radiation biology and the methods of scientific inquiry; and
  3. to provide leadership and service in the Department, the University, and the scientific community for the advancement of free radical and radiation biology.
