Plans to have an Annual Oberley Memorial Free Radical Symposium
Our plans are to have an annual Oberley Memorial Free Radical Symposium to honor Larry. Our goal, with help from alumni and friends like you, is to raise $50,000 to support the scientific aspects of the symposium. Until this $50,000 goal is reached, we will deposit the funds in the Directed Cancer Gift Fund, a non-endowed program fund. If, and when, we reach our $50,000 goal, these funds will be converted into an endowed program fund -- the Larry Oberley Symposium Fund -- where the principal is maintained to provide a permanent source of support for future symposia.
Gifts should be sent to The University of Iowa Foundation, P.O. Box 4550, Iowa City, IA 52244-4550, Directed Cancer Gift Fund in memory of Dr. Larry Oberley.
Gifts to the UI Foundation qualify as charitable contributions to an IRC Sec. 501c(3) organization for federal income, estate, and gift tax purposes.
