GL DSS Reports Available Through Secondary Security Authorization
In order to streamline the process for granting rights to the online GL DSS reports, beginning on 4/10/2008, ORG and ORG-DEPT security administrators will grant access to new users. Prior to this date, the Self Service Data Warehouse Access form was used.
After this date, the Self Service Workflow data access form will only need to be completed for users who desire direct access to the data warehouse tables, to query through a tool such as MS Access. Direct table access requires middleware on the user’s computer. For information about how to install the middleware, talk with your department’s IT support or call the ITS Help Desk (335.2949).
The Secondary Security Authorization User Guide can be referenced for more information about how to use this tool. This document will be most helpful for ORG and ORG-DEPT security administrators.
