MIGS: for ordering supplies from the University's contracted office supply vendor.

MIGS was developed by the University of Iowa's Information Technology Services and General Stores staff for placing office supply orders with our contracted supplier. The MIGS data base contains all the current catalog item information.

Items that General Stores continues to keep in stock remain in the SIGS ordering system.

If you want to use MIGS and SIGS and have an ITS user ID, fill out an ITS Access Request form and send it to General Stores. If you do not have a user ID, contact the ITS help desk at 384-HELP (384-4357) for assistance.

We place orders electronically with the vendor each working day at 3:00 p.m. All the orders in MIGS at that time are transferred directly into the vendor's ordering system. The orders are delivered to General Stores at 7:30 a.m. the following morning, then delivered to you by our drivers that day. In addition to mainframe access, you may use MIGS on the Web.

Our goals are to provide the best pricing on office supplies, enable our customers to place orders online from their offices, simplify the placing and tracking of orders, reduce errors, and consistently make next-day deliveries.

If you have questions or comments please contact Judy Williams. Thank you for your support.
